This scene is very little changed today apart from lack of trolleybuses!

The vehicle is in Jessamine Road which had a single line of wiring linking Boston Manor Road and is approaching
the back entrance to Hanwell trolleybus depot and was used as a turning loop by 655's. |

60s vehicles. |

Picture LTM 205 South side of the Uxbridge Road a few hundred yards short of the White Hart PH Terminus
[pictured in HT1006 & HT1009].
Note the cycle path, which was a feature of many roads out of London. Sadly most disappeared in road widening's
in the 60s and 70s. Note the cute lamp on the pole! |

racing to operate the overhead frog to allow the trolleybus to take a left turn.

way on the left and the AEC works are just up the road to the right, as of course the sign says. |

Very few London trolleybuses were preserved and those that survive today are scattered far and wide. However
one example that plied on Route 607 can be found [November 2005] at the London Transport Museum at Acton.
In 2000 it was caught on camera while on loan to the East Anglia Transport Museum where it was possible to
sample a ride on the vehicle.
